[Interviews] They keep questioning my eligibility and I'm not sure what's going on.

Hi Everyone!

For context I am a full time nursing student who was recently let for from my part time job and applied for unemployment. I received my first amount but then was put on hold and have had 2 interviews scheduled due to an issue with my application.

During my first interview, they were really aggressive and wouldn't clarify what the issue/discrepancy was and what would make me ineligible for benefits. They asked multiple questions about why I left my previous job (which I repeatedly said I was let go due to them wanting someone full time and didn't choose to leave) and what my currently availability was. When I told them I have class M-W, they seemed to doubt my ability to do full time work, but I said I was available to work weekends as well. I had left my previous employment on neutral terms and I have in writing that I was free to seek UI and they would be willing to speak with them. However, offboarding process was a little messy since the company is small, so it seems like there is maybe some discrepancy in what they are saying vs me?

I have another interview scheduled next weeks but I'm still not really sure what is going on so I'm not sure how I should approach it or prepare. I really need this money to keep me afloat while in school. Can anyone can confirm whether I am eligible to UI if I'm

  1. Looking for part time work (if not, should I clarify again I'm open to FT and can work weekends?)

  2. Currently a full time student

Any advice?
