Help • Center High Mount Stop Lamp Bracket
TLDR; does anyone know how to remove + replace the bracket that the center high mount stop lamp (yeah, the 3rd brake light…) slides onto? 🤷🏻♂️

Surprisingly, I was able to remove the housing and separate the two parts without breaking the side tabs to replace the bulb (again… 🤬*)* with a higher-quality LED bulb.
What I didn’t notice when sliding the housing off, however, was that the driver’s side metal contact mount was broken / disintegrated / crumbled. As a stress point, I ain’t gonna try fixing it. 🙂↔️
Luckily, I was able to order the
“last one available in the world” (apparently) from my local MB dealer, and it’s currently en route from Germany. 🇩🇪
So, before I break something… any insight or guidance would be greatly appreciated. 🙏
(Oh, and the black wire in the pics is the USB-C cable for my rear dash cam, mounted on top of the brake lamp housing.)
