Setting emulator to the correct time, but Tomodachi Life Living The Dream thinks it's one hour earlier

Hi! As the title says. I've tried syncing with my system clock, NOT syncing with my system clock, manually selecting time zone, but I just had to end up taking the time travel penalty earlier because I couldn't figure out a way to get it on board with my time. Even if I set the time to, for example, 9pm, the game thinks it's 8pm.

Is there something I'm not understanding here?

Why is this happening? I recently abandoned my previous Linden Home and downgraded to Plus, now it's been giving me this error whenever I try to get a new, smaller home.
