The Pune Grand Tour 2027 just got upgraded to UCI 2.1 status; that's the international cycling body giving Pune the green light to host world-class competition.

What that means for us practically:

  • Hundreds of kilometres of roads getting resurfaced to international standards
  • 950 km race route covering Pune city, highways and ghats
  • Global teams and media descending on Pune Jan 26–31, 2027

The 2026 edition already had 35 countries represented. This is genuinely putting Pune on the world sports map.
