Buying REA CLEP exam study guides online for $35 vs just making a free archive.org acct and checking them out for free

SERIOUSLY, these books START at $35 each. They are wonderful tools.

$35 for each subject when you CAN access all of the books for free when you sign up for a free account with archive.org, hoopla, or even cloud library for free.

I just can’t see spending that kind of money on something that is free. I realize not everyone knows the books are available on free platforms.

That is why I try to reiterate it often. I wish the mods would pin the REA books and the comment about the search tool. It would SO MANY PEOPLE so MUCH!!

COLLEGE ALGEBRA TEXTBOOK for college mathematics (openstax - also the one modern states is using for this subject)

For anyone wondering about college mathematics, I double checked which textbook would be good to use for this CLEP exam subject. Modern states uses the right books even if the teachers aren’t great at teaching it.

It at least gives you a reference of what to study. So having said that, here is the link to the correct modern states book on openstax:

https://openstax.org/details/books/college-algebra-2e

UPDATE:

it also happens to be the one modern states is using for CLEP COLLEGE ALGEBRA

Calculus openstax textbook v1 & CLEP exam material alignment - entirely free study material explaining all of the concepts for you

With u/freeclepprep (Justin’s) study guide list for calculus on www.freeclepprep.com, I have figured out that the openstax textbook for calculus v1, aligns perfectly with (I almost 100% sure, would love confirmation) all of the collegeboard material for the CLEP calculus exam.

Here is the link to Justin’s calculus study guide page:
https://free-clep-prep.com/member/exam-overview?id=23

This is the openstax calculus textbook table of contents page:
https://openstax.org/books/calculus-volume-1/pages/1-introduction

From everything I see, it all aligns. This is the perfect textbook. It’s free and gives you 24/7 unlimited access with practice questions.

There are also videos for this course. Here is the playlist:

This is a dumb question and I know the answer.. I am trying to make a point: how many people can learn to use an entirely new software system you have never used before in just A FEW HRS?!

Just like the question above, has anyone ever learned an entirely new software system you have never touched before “in just a few hours?!”

I can’t ever get enough of this so I am going to repost it for humor.

Apparently, people were coming on here and trying to sell modern states vouchers vs JUST TELLING people how to get them for free.

The mod, u/FourLeaf_Tayback, made a post and pinned it that he/she was NOT joking anymore and would ban anyone selling them.

It must of worked because I used to see “vouchers for sale” all over the place and do not anymore. I admire this mod for having enough spunk to stop the stupidity.

I never understood reselling something that was already free. Like I always say, education should not cost a fortune. That is why I do my best to find and post as many resources that have free access as I can, in particular, the free REA CLEP exam books on archive.org.

They have the study material and the added bonus of the practice exams in the back.

“SEARCH TOOL/MAGNIFYING GLASS reminder for everyone subreddit exclusively

This is a reminder on how to use the search tool. The query I am showing is especially for u/randm268, but applies for everyone that needs to find something on r/clep.

Please know that I am not trying to discourage anyone from asking questions.

I only want to bring attention to the search tool. It could possibly give you the answer you are seeking faster than waiting on a response from the other sub users.

Here are the directions as shown per the screenshots:

Make sure you are in the r/clep sub. Use the magnifying glass at the top of the sub page.
Type your query in the box
I searched for “CLEP calculus exam vs modern states exam”
After typing in your query, use the “search button.”
Here is the same question being asked by u/randm268

Here is the link to that post:
https://www.reddit.com/r/clep/s/NMO1bbAI7l

It may not have all of the answers in this one post but now there is an understanding of how to find a closer answer vs waiting on people to answer your question.

If you have not heard of weave, I encourage you to go to YouTube and see her.

Tim got a call and went and got her. Here is a link to her story.

https://youtu.be/crmVa9nZLHs?si=GnEmhrd3xBQwebt8

UPDATE:
So, there seems to be a lot of negative comments on here from people who are not actually watching the video. It’s obvious.

  1. Tim RESCUED WEAVE when she was only a few days old because her MOTHER was shit so technically HE SAVED HER LIFE!

  2. He DOES NOT keep her at home on a leash. She does WHAT SHE WANTS WHEN SHE WANTS, it just happens to be with him and around his yard!!

  3. For people who DO NOT UNDERSTAND rural living, animals DO NOT have to be contained when you have a big property. Does shit happen? YEP!! Sometimes. We have ample acreage. I let my labs go outside and then heard pigs. THANKFULLY, my dogs have NEAR PERFECT recall and I was blessed enough to get them back up to the house before SHIT HAPPENED!!

  4. COYOTES! There was one that was passing on our property for awhile. I saw him while out in the yard working. He had no fear. That makes me nervous when there is ample trapping and hunting in my area for them (NOT ME PERSONALLY) it is just understood that it is in my county. The same coyote later was in a some brush around our tank pond.

Hanky dog kept barking and going crazy trying to tell us. We thought he just wanted to go outside and play. A few minutes later while I was looking outside the big picture window, lo and behold, I saw the same coyote try to sneak up on a doe and her baby.

We went outside and hazed him. He left

No kidding! He tolerates the shower. He doesn’t get upset. It’s more like he follows directions. Then when he thinks it’s time to get out, he “charms” me with a smile and wants his treat. (I am beginning to think it’s a “Jedi mind trick!” - if I smile I will make her give me what I want!)

His smile is funny. He does it when he thinks he is about to get something good. Part of my meal/a treat/outside. He will nudge me quite forcefully with his nose and then look at what he wants door/food/treat and smile. I ask him do you want outside/potty/bite/treat and he will “chomp” his mouth together like humans do when they are pat biting or he will give a wooo, wooo, wooo!

He is SO ANIMATED!!

I ask this because I have posted previous resources for APUSH. It doesn’t seem like there are many likes. I am not looking for popularity.

I want to know what genuinely would help you pass this class

From heimler to Adam Norris, what do u like most about their lessons?
