The smoke monster origin story

Everybody gets all hung up with what happened with Oceanic 815 but I don't see the recognition that the island had an ancient history that is barely touched on. The four-toed foot statue. The story of Jacob and his brother. All of that hints at a much deeper story. I would love to see a LOST prequel.

Rewatching Season 3

I don't know why I don't remember more of this. For all these years I have carried around Seasons One and Two in my head like that's all there was. Season 3 has a reputation for being the beginning of the end of lost but holy shit! This is when all the good stuff started happening. And it's almost like seeing it for the first time.

Just watched the Nikki and Paulo episode

It was kind of a waste. But I can't believe that people reacted so badly to such incidental characters. There were 47 survivors of the plane crash. I do wonder why they didn't make it 43. But there were always extras in the background of a lot of scenes. Why would people have rebelled against a couple of them coming to the fore? And whatever happened to Rose and Bernard?
