Currently trying to get into a hospital in Los Angeles

I have my ARRT and ARMRIT, I have been working at an outpatient Radnet for the past year and a half. I know how to scan mostly on GE but have worked with SIEMENS and Phillips scanners. I know how to do a wide range of studies including MRA abdomen, chest and run offs, enterography, and spectroscopy. I have not done cardiac but would love to learn. I also teach students at my site. I’m ready to get that hospital experience and money 💰I’ve had interviews but nothing has landed yet.

Any advice on how to get into a hospital like Kaiser, USC KECK, UCLA health etc?

Tech question: Has anyone extravasated a vein?

Today I had a 92 year old patient who was a “hard stick” I’m usually good at IVs, I’ve been doing them for about 2 years and I help other inexperienced techs start IVs.

I got the patient’s vein checked for blood back and got flow, when I pushed contrast her vein swelled up and I stopped immediately and cold compressed. I still checked for contrast on the post images and there was none. She didn’t want us to try again, so I felt bad for the patient and kind of caught me by surprise and hurt my confidence. Has this happened to anyone?
