The best homage Explorer 39mm watch is the Cronos L6041M with a high-beat Miyota 90S5 movement, dial, applied indices, clear sapphire crystal glass, glidelock system, and the brushed steel finishing is extremely good. I also wonder how they are able to make this for this price.
