[Complete][94k][Historical Fantasy] The Timeless Ronin (Immortal Samurai Story)

Hey everyone,

I just finished my novel The Timeless Ronin (~94k words) and I’m at that point where I’ve read it too many times and can’t see it clearly anymore.

I’d really appreciate some fresh eyes before I call it done.

It’s a historical fantasy about a samurai who dies during the Siege of Osaka in 1614… and then wakes up unable to die. From there he spends centuries wandering through Japan under different identities, watching everything change while he stays the same.

In the present day, he’s living as a university professor teaching the same history he actually lived through, trying to hide who he is. But his past starts bleeding into the present more and more.

I’m mainly looking for general reader experience:

  • where it drags or moves too fast
  • anything confusing
  • how the character feels over time
  • whether it holds your interest

Honestly just reactions, thoughts, and vibes help a ton.

No strict timeline or anything.

If anyone’s interested, feel free to DM me.

Thanks, I really appreciate it.
