Chess Lab – iOS app I've been building: Arasan engine, online play, and PGN import just submitted for review
I've been working on this app for a while, and I'm finally satisfied with its final form, so I wanted to share it with you all.
Initially, I started developing it as a simple offline chess app, but it has evolved with various features added, including online multiplayer, a full-fledged analysis mode, and the PGN import function, which I submitted to the App Store for review today. The PGN import function was a feature I particularly wanted to perfect.
The engine is Arasan, supporting both CPU matches (30 difficulty levels) and post-game analysis. There's also a "Web Invite" feature — send a link to your opponent and they can play directly from their browser, no installation needed.
There are two versions: a free version with ads, and a paid version ($3.99) that removes ads and includes features such as PGN import and unlimited game history.
