On 5/6/26 there was a loud protest held at this Hotel in Washington from 8pm-11pm. The agents’ vehicle was tracked and marked in the parking lot of this location. It was supposed to go until midnight, but we were forced to leave by police officers over a 10pm noise ordinance. They initially met us at the beginning of the protest as we were in the parking lot and were forced to leave the property, which is when we relocated to the side street still close to the hotel. Luckily at the height we had about 40 people and made a ton of noise with megaphones, whistles, pots & pans, unified chants, signs, and expressions of disdain for the domestic terror organization that is ICE. Multiple vehicles and motorcycles drove by to revv their engines and honk their horns in support. Some residents of the hotel and random bystanders joined our protest, while others recorded us and tried telling us to go away. We got louder each time we were told to be quiet. I’m on probation so I had to leave around 1030 and am not sure how long it went on for after that. The initial post was deleted so I’m making this one as a discussion post for anyone who attended or has questions about what occurred. I hope that next time we have more people, cops are less inclined to tell a crowd of 500 people to quiet down than they are a crowd of 40. They tried to claim that a single ice agent was staying there and that he’d left already, but we know that was a lie because they don’t travel alone. If they were to travel alone, that would make them easier to intimidate. Make sure to take every chance you get to record the faces of these “agents”, they will be held accountable one day.
