Any mature students studying medicine?

Does anyone study medicine at Bristol but didnt go through the normal A level route?
I didnt do the correct A levels for medicine and now I am looking at an access to HE course to then study medicine. Only certain universities accept this diploma and I see Bristol is one of them.
I would be 22 years old when I start my first year at university, would this make me very much an outsider or does it not matter?
How is it being in a flat with other first years, or maybe did you go to a private accom instead?
I would love to hear about this experience from any aspect, social or academic/professional. Thank you!
