PRAYING on Turo’s Downfall
It is no longer safe to trust Turo service for women. Hosts are posting fake rentals and canceling while en route, suggesting a much lesser valued option or forcing women to call and cancel.
The first time it happened, the Host reported that the vehicle was in an accident but posted it as available again same day. Turo understood and accommodated.
This second time, the Host canceled again while en route. Initially the car was returned late, I was 10 mins away, but after support canceled he asked me to still come. The Host continued to demand I come to his home because he has a hatchback I could use instead of the SUV for our family. Turo was not accommodating at all. I was stranded with ruined travel plans.
Customer Service could care less this time. The agents resorted to being demeaning, blaming me for poor planning, claiming that they exhausted all support and disconnecting. I’ve stressed that their app is allowing Hosts to endanger women. I‘ve urged them to be more considerate. They don’t care! Their agents are empowered to be nasty and not support people they are inconveniencing and putting in danger.
Women. do not trust Turo!!! The Hosts are not safe.
