I love Death Note and I’m rewatching it right now. I always remember Episode 6-7 to be my favorite episodes of the series because of that masterclass performance Light put up to get Naomi’s name.

But when I’m watching it again just now I can’t help but think Light got bailed out by the plot.

Why did Naomi Misora trust Light when he said he’s on the task force and can go with them wherever and whenever he wants but he said he doesn’t know where his dad is and can’t reach him when trying to get him clothes?

And also him giving her a job and conducting the registration right there in the middle of the street?

And not to mention ever trusting that Lights dad was a part of the task force in the beginning, enough so to walk with him and give him that crucial conclusion she came up with?

For the students that couldn’t get a 5 on an exam specifically AP Calc BC, Chem, or Physics C (mechanics). How bad was it sitting in the same class for another year? With the caliber of students at Princeton, are many people in the intro classes? For those who couldn’t skip, do you think you were behind your peers at other colleges that could skip classes with a 3 or 4?
