Should you clean a new gun before shooting?

New gun owner here. I'm wondering if newly-purchased firearms should be cleaned and oiled before taking to the range, or if it's fine/safe to fire them as is and then clean + oil afterward.

If indeed it should be serviced out of the box before using, to what extent should it be disassembled, cleaned and oiled? I have a pump action shotgun, a revolver and a glock in case that makes a difference.

Is there a higher likelihood of malfunction or other issues if you don't clean it out of the box?

Thanks.

Continuous slight static noise?

I have 4th gen airpods and for a while now I feel like I'm hearing a very slight static sound coming from them. It is very faint and I'm not even 100% sure it's happening, but when I wear them for a few min or more I get this hot-headed feeling and my ears start to feel a bit uncomfortable. I don't get this feeling at all when wearing normal $15 apple earphones for extended periods of time, so I can only conclude that there is indeed a subtle noise emanating from the airpods.

Has anyone else had this issue? Were you able to resolve it?

In case it may make a difference, I don't use an iPhone. So if anyone knows if that may be causing the static lmk.

Any insight would be appreciated.
