Hey everyone! I’m visiting Romania soon for about a week and wanted to ask for some advice.

I’ll land in Bucharest for transit, then head to Timisoara where I’ll be staying, probably somewhere in or near the city center in an Airbnb. If anyone has tips for booking Airbnbs in Romania and what to watch out for, I’d really appreciate it.

Also wanted to ask:

• What apps/services are best for food delivery in Timisoara?
• What’s the average price for a cheap meal there?
• Roughly how much is a McDonald’s meal?
• What Romanian foods, desserts, and drinks should I try?
• Any recommendations for halal-friendly or no-pork foods?
• What are some must-visit places in Timisoara for someone there for a short stay?
• Any tips for avoiding scams/pickpockets/tourist traps?
• Are there any cultural taboos or things visitors should avoid doing so they don’t come across as disrespectful?
• How common is English in Timisoara/Bucharest, especially in shops, restaurants, and airports? Do I need to learn a few Romanian phrases to get by?

I hope this doesn’t come across the wrong way, but online I’ve seen mixed things. Some places say Romania is one of the safest countries, while other comments make it sound risky. Is that mostly just an outdated stereotype? I’d appreciate honest advice on how careful I should be in daily life.

Hey! Recently, I heard that Wireshark was actually not made for security analysis purposes and that there are other better options, does anyone know these alternatives? I've started using tshark a bit but the commands are too long and somewhat overwhelming, so i guess i'll have to get used to it. But is it the only good option?

Also, any suggestions for network forensics guides? Which guides do you guys think are good? network forensics is probably my weakest side so i'm trying to improve it, it's like i'll open the file and try to spot any unique stuff but i end up with nothing usually, and i don't know how to start analyzing the file well, even when asked specific questions like in CyberDefenders Labs and so on.

I applied for a Romanian visa ( Type c), my initial request was 05 days stay in Romania, because I'd already booked the tickets and hotel and everything.

Recently though, my airline cancelled the leaving flight from Romania, and i had to book one that will leave Romania in 7 days after my stay, which means i need 07 stamped on my passport

My question is : Does Romania stamp the EXACT days of stay on the passport, or do they give a couple of extra days/grace period? if not, Do i have to re-apply for a new visa matching my tickets, or what's the solution? *Note that my flight is in 1/5/2026

I'd appreciate any answers since I'm really stressed out on missing my flight, I'll be losing well over 1000$ USD if this doesn't work out.
