Dropped Hard Drive
I know I am supposed to have a back up, but hadn't expected this to happen in literally the first month of me owning this, I was also occupied with finals*
I had accidentally knocked off a Seagate 5 TB external hard drive off of my desk, my body partially broke the impact and it hit the floor on the corner (it has a plastic body). It wasn't running when this happened. It was roughly a 2.2 feet drop (it dropped the remaining 1 feet after hitting up against my leg).
When I turned it on, no weird sounds or vibrations. When I delicately tilted the hard drive, I heard no loose moving parts. When I ran a S.M.A.R.T scan, everything returned in perfect conditions. My PC still recognizes the hard drive and files on the hard drive can run.
Should I be worried about the health of my hard drive?
