Hey everyone,

my FiiO F5 cable broke a few months ago, so I can’t use them at all and I’m looking for a replacement.

I know they use MMCX, but I’ve read that MMCX isn’t always perfectly standardized and that some cables can fit poorly (too loose or too tight).

So I wanted to ask:

- Are all MMCX cables actually compatible with the FiiO F5?

- Are there specific brands/models that fit especially well?

- Any good cable recommendations that aren’t too expensive?

Also, The Earphones came with an 2.5mm balanced plug and I honestly don’t really understand what that’s for.

Where could I even use a 2.5mm balanced cable, and does it make any sense for a normal phone setup?
