How do I add a border to this baby blanket? Blanket is uneven/inconsistent tensioned… will a scalloped border even be an option?
hey y’all! This is my first major project, a granny square baby blanket. There are definitely some imperfections, mistakes, tension consistencies, but it’s honestly too late to fix it. All my squares have been blocked, sewn together, and really all that’s left is to add a border. I really want to do a scalloped border, but I don’t know how to move forward. My edges aren’t smooth, and there are some dips in between my squares as shown in the last photo. Is there any way to smooth this out? How do you guys finish up granny square blankets with borders? Do I go around the whole thing with a single crochet and White, and then do a scallop after that? Will a scallop border even work on this if the blanket is slightly uneven in size? Any advice and criticism is welcome, I’m really just lost and had him move forward. thank you so much!
