This movie has a 90% on RT but only a 3.3 average on Letterboxd. I watched it last night, and I can confidently say that they are both correct.

Everything about it flipped back and forth in quality violently and frequently. I think it was a comedy, but all characters played it totally straight. There were some genuinely magnificent shots tastefully sprinkled throughout as well, but it also felt like a made-for-Tubi horror movie.

I need to see something else like this.

The title is The Wolf of Snow Hollow.

Actually, all instruments in this video aside from the acoustic are played through Sunn amps and cabs. The pedal steel, blue Strat, and pink Bass VI are all going through the Sceptre and staggered 412. The bass guitar is going into my Alpha Four and 215 cab.

Pedals used:

• Westminster Effects Calvin Compressor (on everything but the Bass VI)

• Boss SD-1 (on the Strat)

• Westminster Effects Wycliffe (on bass and Bass VI)

• Montreal Assembly Uppers (on Bass VI)

• Strymon Nightsky (added to pedal steel and Strat in post)

I mic’d everything with a cheap old Audio Technica something or other.

This is the setup I posted a few days ago with my dog.

I legitimately don’t understand why we would want to promote the dilution of christian creativity here. Christian music should hold some actual meaning and effort. Ai waste contains none of that at all. Plus its terrible stewardship of the planet God gave us.

I’m just sick of coming here to find new artists and being met with low-effort nonsense.

To the brothers and sisters that are dabbling in it, you are better than this. You can return. Practice your instruments. Collaborate with other members of the body. Actually tap into the creative spirit breathed into you the moment you were born. You can do it!

For context, my favorite album has been From Mars To Sirius. It was the first album of theirs I heard back in 06. The mix is was atmospheric and crushing in a way completely unlike any other metal band I had heard at that time. I tried going backward through their catalogue then and was disappointed that the previous albums didn’t sound the same, which has stuck with me for a long time after.

I’ve gone back to Terra Incognita and The Link periodically to try getting into them, but until today I was still hung up on the differences in production. I think my brain may have inched closer to full development this morning. I took a long walk while listening straight through both albums and had a wonderful time. I’m super excited too because I was missing out on a TON of sweet guitar and drum work.

It’s a great day to be alive and I want to live in the forest forever!
