Bed Exit Light Random

Does anyone know what triggers the under-bed light that comes on when one gets up in the middle of the night? Lately it has been randomly coming on when I don’t leave the bed, not always coming on when I do.

My father deals in antique coins and paper items, and he found this and sent it along to me. A complete model train in paper. It is from 1950. Includes caboose, tank car, cattle car, hopper, flat car, gondola, refrigerator car, automobile boxcar. Die-cut pages to remove the “parts”. Someone already built the locomotive but the cars are all still in there. Pretty cool.
