Background: I was curious to see what impact the redistricting might have on Edmonton and surrounding areas, so I decided to create a map showing visually how the vote went in 2023 versus the minority map.

For the voting results map I used a gradient to scale how many votes each party won by from translucent (close races), to full colour (not close races). I also included the won by vote difference in each district.

Anyone find this map helpful for understanding what impact redrawing the districts might have?

Similar comparisons I did for other Alberta cities:

• Calgary
• Lethbridge

And here's the one for Lethbridge. As you can see there's a stark contrast of the city versus surrounding areas.
