I AM SO WORRIED

I’m currently a first-year engineering student in my country, but I’m looking to start over and apply to HKU as a first-year student because I’m really unhappy with the current academic system here. My academic qualifications actually exceed the requirements for HKU Engineering, but because I’m taking my TOEFL iBT in late May, I won’t be able to finalize my application until then. Here is my dilemma: because of the currency exchange rate in my country, the application process is a significant financial investment for my family, and I can only realistically attend if I secure a full-ride scholarship. I feel like this is a life-changing opportunity that I’ll regret missing, but I’m terrified of spending my family’s money in vain if the scholarship funds are already exhausted by the late round. Does anyone have experience with receiving full-ride entrance scholarships this late in the cycle
