Using quicksync (Intel 12400 cpu) to transcode 4k HDR to 4k SDR , it just can’t seem to keep up. Files are high bitrate 4k remux files.

If I switch to my 1080ti , it works. But ideally , I’d like to keep power consumption and heat down. I read that the iGPU is capable of a few 4k transcodes , but it seems it can’t even do one for me.

System is windows 11 / 12400 cpu / b660 mobo / 32gb ram , and also a 1080ti.

Never had an issue using the iGPU to transcode 1080p files , but it seems it’s just not up to the task of 4k and tonemapping.
