Just got offered a job at for a subject teaching position as a native speaker, and the offer is 280,000 RMB gross per year. Honestly, it feels kinda low to me, but this would be my first time working in China so I genuinely have no idea what’s considered normal there.
Does anyone here have experience teaching in China and know roughly what the take-home pay would be after tax? Also, is this considered a decent offer for an international school, or am I right to feel a bit underwhelmed?

I uploaded for almost 4 years. Nearly 1000 videos. Most of them got like 5 views… sometimes even less. It honestly felt pointless a lot of the time.
Then around April 13th/14th, something randomly changed. A few of my videos started moving, then more followed. Since then I’ve had over 1.1 million views and gained 361 subscribers.
I’m still nowhere near where I want to be. I’ve only got 61 watch hours, so I’m not suddenly “successful” or anything. But after years of uploading into silence, even that small breakthrough meant a lot to me.
I think sometimes YouTube just takes way longer than people expect. So if you’re struggling right now, maybe don’t look at the whole mountain. Just focus on getting through today’s upload, then tomorrow’s.
