Hey guys, I’m (24M) from India and I was planning (almost booked actually) a hair transplant for next week.

Two days back I had slightly longer hair and it looked really thin and low density. Yesterday I just decided to shave it down to 9mm since it was going to be shaved anyway for transplant and honestly it doesn’t look half bad to me now. With longer hair I genuinely felt like I was a goner

That said, I don wanna keep my hair this short all the time. I have a consultation with my surgeon(Mumbai) tomorrow, so I wanted to get some opinions before that.

I started treatment back in 2022 when I was 20 after noticing a receding hairline(my home town tier 3 city) . I was pretty consistent with meds...tried dutasteride, minoxidil 5%, 10% combinations like min-fin pros.and wtv my doc suggested. Also did 3 PRP sessions. But **I DIDN'T SEE ANY IMPROVEMENTS**

I restarted treatment this year again and have already done 3 GFC sessions along with meds. I’m just worried things will keep getting worse.

I don’t even hate my hairline that much, I just want better density. But after trying for around 3 yrs, nothing really worked for me

I’m starting my postgrad in 2 months, so I thought this would be a good time to get a transplant but now I’m second guessing it after seeing my shaved head. Also, finances are a bit tight right now since I just paid my tuition fees

Right now I’m honestly stuck. Do I go through with the transplant or try meds properly one more time? Do you guys think there’s still hope for better density or am I just wasting time?
