Well I always thought of them as light ways compared to their contemporaries in folk rock genre, like The Byrds but their episode on the 500 greatest songs podcast actually opened my eyes to how influential they actually are. They inspired Paul McCartney to write ”Good day sunshine” for instance.

It made me go deeper into their stuff and actually take time and listen, not brushing them of. And I kind of love it. It’s so happy go lucky, you can’t help but smile.

What are your thoughts on the band that inspired Lennons choice of glasses ?
