Giving up and going back to Doxy
I’ve been on Doxy twice before — once in April 2025 and once in November 2025. Both times cleared my POD but i’ve been desperate to figure out the root cause and trying to fix on my own. It’s only gotten worse. Desperate to relieve the dryness I was using La roche posay Cicaplast as a trial and it only seemed to inflame the issue as other comedogenic or oily products do. Now I’m back to Vanicream face moisturizer and wash which doesn’t seem to make the issue worse or better. I’m starting to think that it’s an overgrowth of demodex mites since my skin never really fully ‘heals’ and the patches spread when i use oily products. Seeing dermatologist in a week and a half and got another prescription for doxycycline because the self consciousness and itchiness is really getting to me. Has anyone had success with antibiotics and other topical treatments for dust mites?
