I need all the help I can get. I broke my boyfriend’s parents’ $300 vacuum and want to get it repaired ASAP. I’ve heard that Sharks are extremely hard to get repairs on.
I pulled it out of the wall by the wire, and the wire broke off like butter. I call a vacuum repair guy near me and he said “Is it the plug or the wire?” I said it was the wire. He said “We don’t do Sharks. No one really does.”. And then I called a second place that is a super inconvenient drive. The guy goes “We do some Sharks. Bring it in and we’ll see if we can do it.” So now I’m supposed to take this drive to see if maybe they can fix it? I have an extremely busy day tomorrow and this is stressing me out so much.
I don’t want to call and electrician that I don’t know and bring them to my boyfriend’s parents’ house. I also don’t know what model is since I am not very handy. I’ve included some photos that I’m not really sure are of much help.
Then, ChatGpt told me that this was just a plug repair? Even though the wire broke off a few inches BEFORE the plug meets the wire. So maybe I can call the first guy back and say I just need a plug replacement? But seems weird to me since it’s still by the wire. The rest of the cord is still in tact aside from the few inches that broke off with the plug, as pictured. If you look closely, it detached very cleanly. It almost looks as though the piece with the plug attached to it was tucked inside of the rest of the wire that broke off.
Again, I’m not handy. Can someone tell me what needs to be repaired? What to say? And potentially where to go that will 100% get this fixed so I don’t have to run around as much? I would greatly appreciate it.
