Ex fought with judge in court
We had our court date, and my ex filed a violation petition against me. The judge dismissed the entire thing. Basically said it was all petty and not actual violations.
Before wrapping up, I asked a simple clarifying question about whether I can pick up and drop off the kids at school on my custodial days. This has been a constant point of conflict between us.
The judge immediately said there’s no issue with that.
That should’ve been the end of it… but it turned into a 15-minute argument between my ex and the judge.
My ex was:
• Shaking her head at the judge
• Looking away while being spoken to
• Talking over the judge multiple times
• Raising her voice
At one point, the judge just locked eyes with her and sat in silence for like 30 seconds after being interrupted again. It was intense.
The judge then called her behavior petty, disrespectful, unreasonable, controlling, and unrealistic.
Even after that, my ex kept pushing.
Did Josh show us both? They will personally make sure that they would be the family court judge for us for the next 10 years and that they would not forget this case.
Eventually, the judge stood up, turned off the light at the desk, said “we’re done here,” and walked out to chambers.
Also said they’re going to make sure they’re assigned to our case going forward and don’t want to see us back in court again.
I’ve never seen anything like that before. Honestly still processing it.
I’m learning family court as a patient’s game. Let the other person dig the grave deeper and deeper.
