WILD dreamers, do I need to actually know my sleep cycle and target one of my REMs? or is a normal WBTB (4-6 hours) sufficient?

ive seen someone on youtube saying that I need to calculate my longest REM cycle then target it, I dont care if its the longest or an average on i just wanna know if this means a normal WBTB isnt enough.

I don't have a smart watch or an ouro ring to calculate

The subreddit's icon/logo is a work of art!

You see the Snoo (reddit mascot) in the front and see him sleeping in bed a bit farther behind.

The coolest part is how he has two antennas on his head, similar to how dreams tend to change your body in a dream (like having 11 fingers for example).

It's also simple I love it.

How did you guys learn to make these amazing pedals?

I'm not an engineer, not even in college yet and I've only made a low-quality preamp pedal and learnt how it works from a YouTube video and by asking AI over 100 questions. (It was a simple TL072)

I see all of your posts and see so many things I don't understand and it's so overwhelming. Where can I know what each component does in different configurations and the main wirings of specific chips? How to make a brand-quality pedal? There seems to be little and basic information on YouTube.

title.

an object forms, i focus on it, the environment around it forms. Perfect. I imagine myself picking the object up and it worked, I'm fully immersed in a lucid dream. but it feels fragile, like I should give my brain a minute or two to start have an actual solid dream. it lasts a few seconds before collapsing.

I'm aware everything in the dream is based on my expectation but I think my issue is a biological limit. Like I'm pushing my mind's limit by jumping directly into a dream.

After meditating for a few days I noticed meditation has become much harder for me, instead of dismissing a few thought each minute, the amount of thoughts increase so much it feel overwhelming.

Turns out this is insane progress. I became more aware of my thoughts so they feel like they increased, while it's just my awareness of my thoughts that sharpened.

Instead of being able to pull my attention back to my breath a few times. I can now do it much more than that.

Don't ever feel overwhelmed and think you are getting worse at this. It's the opposite
