All the clothes that you see were made by me in the past year.

About 16 months ago I was having a really bad depressive episode and was searching for something to take me out of it and find a reason to be. I got inspired by Hextian, Disney Barbie Girl and Doe Deer Wonderland , remembered my childhood love for fashion dolls and started buying tlc Barbies like crazy.

Within a month I had my doll room, with more than 200 dolls, a sewing machine , a ton of fabric and decided to learn something completely unknown to me.

With the input from the doll collecting community, and the support of my friends and family (even though some of them found my new hobby rather creepy at first) I have to admit that Barbie’s and the feeling of being creative and remembering my childhood play made me start needing therapy less and less (even though still on my meds) and I’m in such a happier place!!!

Just gratitude for my dolls and all of you that gave me even the slightest input🫶🏻☺️

She’s a 70s European standard on a made to move body but with straight legs. She was in really bad condition. Hair almost completely chopped and her head has really thin vinyl on top. First time I’ve seen a doll as such. Body was full of black stains as well. Almost gone. Flash makes them look worst than irl.

I sewed a 70s dress from an old doll’s pattern, rerooted hair but I can tell that there’s something missing. She definitely needs jewels and touch up on make up. Just couldn’t wait to share… the dress needs to be fitted better. Looks way too bulky… please be brutal in your critiques!
