So long story short, I’m writing a novel where I originally named my main character Violetta, which I think fits her really well. But I just realized my aunt’s name is Viola, and I don’t want it to seem like the character is named after her. So now I’m looking for a new name with a similar vibe.

The only other names I’ve considered so far are Juliet/Julietta and Ophelia, but I’ll probably use Ophelia for a different character. I’d also prefer to avoid names starting with J, since it’s pronounced differently in a lot of languages.

I’d also prefer names that don’t end in “e”.

Any suggestions?
