Ways to do hair under covering so that it is comfortable to lay down?
Hello all,
I've been covering for going on 6 years now but I'm still running into the same issue- how to do my hair under my coverings in a way that makes it possible/comfortable to lay my head down. I am chronically ill & bedbound and struggling to stay sitting upright during video church meetings and such, but laying back with my hair in a bun or even braids is very painful.
I've tried soft small hair ties with hair very loose, very spread out flat against my head bun styles with pins (both traditional steels and bobby kinds), braids down two sides (cant do braid down my back). Any advice??? I wear a range of different covering styles, but most often the cap or veil most people associate with Anabaptists (I'm Mennonite). Sometimes when I'm in a lot of pain I'll just do the loosest bun to hold my hair while I get into an undercap, but undercaps strong enough to hold are getting untenable in the hot summers. My hair is I'd say halfway between thick and thin, but there is a lot of it and it comes down to my lower back.
TLDR: Looking for comfortable-to-lay-on hairstyles for under headcoverings.
