I’ll share my experience, I’m not sure that I would call it a “bad” one by any means, but I believe this page would appreciate a decent experience with hertz due to the many complaints that there are.

I rented a jeep for 3 weeks out of Vegas. We landed early and I said what the hell, lets see if i get the car early too. So we went upstairs to the Gold area, and I asked if I could check the car out early. It was about 12 hours early. She did some button pushing on the computer and I received my exact car I rented 12 hours early with no extra fees.

The car ran great for all 3 weeks, but was low on oil by the end. No worries, I just figured they would’ve made sure I had enough for 3 weeks.

We return the car with a full tank of gas, no damage, we vacuumed and washed the car aswell. I get an email stating I owe 23 dollars for fuel. Small charge, but I’m not paying it. I fueled the tank with 5 dollar a gallon gas, I’m not paying you even more money. I disputed the charge and was immediately refunded. They stated it was a clerical error on their part and apologized. They couldn’t explain why or how it happened.

That was my experience with Hertz in Las Vegas, and compared to some of these other posts and reviews I’d say it was a good one. Is this uncommon, or are people just really dramatic about their experiences?

I’ve read through some other posts about this, but I’m still not sure I understand EMS in Las Vegas. Especially from the ALS end of things. I know a lot of “bs” low level calls burn medics out. So with that being said, the 3 privates handling the “bravo” and “alpha” level calls cannot be good for medics. Are the private companies going with FD to the deltas and echos? If that’s the case, 6-7 medics on the scene for a delta or Charlie level call seems like overkill. Can anyone give an updated response on the situation up there and if working for the private companies is burning medics out with not running the priority calls?

Hello all. We are currently in the Capitol Reef area on our multi week road trip. We planned on doing the Cathedral Valley loop tomorrow. We plan on starting at 11 am, packing lunch, a cooler and water with a full tank of gas. The NPS visitor center said the river is passable and the roads are drivable. I have a 4WD Jeep Sahara, however the tires are more on the highway side but they did fine in Capitol Gorge and Grand Wash today. Any advice? I’m more worried about getting stuck than anything. Thanks in advance.
