What do you think about hybrid designs combining 3D printed parts and leather?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been exploring a concept that combines 3D printed components with real leather to create hybrid designs. The idea is to merge the precision, modularity, and flexibility of 3D printing with the durability, texture, and character of leather.

This could be applied to things like bags, accessories, tools, or even completely new product categories.

I’m really curious to hear your thoughts:

  • Does this idea sound interesting or useful to you?
  • Where do you think this combination would work best?
  • Any concerns or limitations you can think of?
  • Would you personally use or make something like this?

Appreciate any feedback, ideas, or even criticism 🙌

“I wish there was a tool that could do this” or “I wish this tool could do one more thing”

Dear leathercraft enthusiasts,

Do you currently face any problems in your production that you can’t solve with existing tools?

Anything from hand-held tools to machines to organizers, etc.

Have you ever thought, “I wish there was a tool that could do this” or " I wish the design of this tool were like this" or “I wish this tool could do one more thing”? or anything..

I’d be really glad if you could share. Thanks!

I made the patterns on the leather using a bath loofah. How does it look?

Hey friends,

Do you have any interesting or unusual methods for dyeing leather?

The other day I tried something fun, I used a bath loofah to apply green dye on the leather. I think it turned out pretty cool!

What do you guys think?
