As the Lies of P sequel enters full-scale development, developer Neowiz says it's working on another Soulslike and a narrative RPG | Eurogamer.net

Responding to Eurogamer, the official response from Neowiz and Round8 Studio is as follows:
"The job posting in question is not a role that will be directly involved in the production of the Lies of P sequel. Instead, they will reside within an independent art R&D team at Round8. GenAl tools are only used in preliminary stage work to improve efficiency of repetitive, foundational tasks. Al-generated visuals function strictly as internal reference material during pre-production, a method for establishing visual direction before formal production begins. The intent is to build a proprietary visual library trained exclusively on assets for which Neowiz and Round8 hold full legal rights. All final assets for the upcoming game will be created by experienced artists."

- This job listing is not for the Lies of P sequel. They are still hiring a narrative designer, level designer, level artist, developer, concept artist, engine programmer, combat programmer, content planner, level planner, etc. specifically for the sequel.

- Their Al Creator listing is not for basic generative AI that people post on social media. It's more of an editing tool that needs a programmer. They want the employee to be both knowledgeable and experienced in real traditional 2D art and 3D modelling. Yes, it's meant to speed up processes, no it's not meant to replace the artists.

- The job listing states they want someone who understands the legal guidelines of both Al ethics and copyright.

- If you're worried about Al training, Neowiz is building their library themself for the content they are creating, which means they won't be outsourcing material. Like the example earlier, it'll just go from one team to the next.
