Some of my favorite recent additions!

These are some of my favorite recent additions. The boxset on the top right is devildom by Ark, the one on the left is silence v3 by Kingstar and the bottom one Genesis 3d origins by Skymember. I will make posts about them in the coming days.

Qalif from Lotrek(Oath PCC)

This is my first deck from Lotrek with heavy usage of foil and words can't describe how amazed I am. The tuckbox has one of the best embossing I have ever seen and it uses 4 different foils(blue, two shades of gold and silver). The back design is amazing and every single card has heavy intricate usage of foiling, the details are just amazing. This is literally the most intricate usage of foiling in any deck I have ever seen and photos don't do justice to how amazing they look in person. Now I will admit the courts look very classic (though elegant), but the intricacy of foiling alone makes this deck one of my favorites for me. Excellent jokers as well. Needless to say I will be adding a lot more decks from him to my collection( expensive but I'm willing).

Overall rating 10/10.

Kinghood from ARK

The Kinghood is my third set of decks i have purchased from ARK. The one I have here is the black pearl box set and it includes two decks(Dark Night and Dawn’s Light). Both tuck boxes are embossed with holographic foiling, and when you put the backs side by side they create an image of two animal knights jousting, which is a really cool detail. The court cards, back, and even the inside of the tuck boxes also have holographic foiling.

The story of the decks is set in a fictional world where a curse turned humans into orcs and beasts, so the king gathered his finest knights to fight them and they are illustrated on the court cards, and the courts are my favorite part of the deck. The designs are stunning and they kinda remind me of Jack Brutus Penny's designs.

I noticed one thing, the word "kinghood" on the back of every cards, is one way(not sure if that's the right term). Most likely a mistake but I'm not sure, either way I don't mind.

I mostly collect decks for the art and for playing with my siblings, so handling isn’t super important to me since I’m not really into cardistry, though I’ve been learning a few tricks for fun. But I would say these handle pretty well.

Overall, awesome courts and back design, phenomenal tuck boxes, and I don’t have any complaints, rating: 9/10

Since I started collecting almost 2 months ago, Giovanni from Thirdway industries has been one of my favorite designers. And this is the deck that started my thirdway collection, not that it was my first Giovanni deck(that would be monolith white), but the deck that introduced me to Giovanni's works. I was watching a video on YouTube (The card guy, who makes reviews), and stumbled upon a review video of apocalisse. In person the cards look stunning, really like the gold foil on these. Some of the most unique and intricate court cards out there, even among some other twi decks. Beautiful tuck box, I like the color choices, and the embossing gives a nice overall feeling. Really happy to add this one to the collection.
