Unfortunately, I have just recently discovered that my copy of Pokemon Platinum is very likely to be fake.

I’m NOT asking if this game is real or fake, I just want to know more information about fake copies.

I want to know if anyone has experience using these fake copies, and how it might affect gameplay.

I’ve heard of issues with saving, and IR functionality, however I currently have a save on the game which seems to be working fine, and I’m not sure what IR is or how it’s used in game.

I bought it a few years ago but I don’t remember where from, I haven’t had any issues with it but I have also barely played it.

Any help would be appreciated!
