American Express has announced that starting October 1, 2026 Platinum cardholders will no longer be able to access Lufthansa lounges.

American Express® Card Members will no longer have access to Lufthansa Lounges effective October 1, 2026. Eligible American Express Card Members continue to have access to more than 1,550 airport lounges worldwide, including 32 locations in the Centurion Lounge Network — and can find a current list of airport lounges at www.americanexpress.com/findalounge. In addition to the Centurion Lounge Network, Card Members can continue to enjoy access to other partner lounges, including: Delta Sky Club ®, Escape Lounges, Plaza Premium Lounges, and Priority Pass Select.

The program was first launched in 2017 and has been continually extended since then. Lose of access is a bit of a surprise given that the program was expanded earlier this year.

This is a HUGE loss for me as I fly Luftsansa a lot. Credit card companies just reducing benefits, adding more crappy coupons, and raising AFs...

Booking in Rome and the property I am staying at was advertised as 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and 1 spacious living room.

I immediately contacted support open arriving and seeing that the property was not as advertised. They said there is nothing they can do (even though I paid booking.com). I've been sitting here with my little child for 4 hours waiting for a response or the property owner to come. I have gotten nothing so far.

On top of a fraudulent listing (which I have screenshots of) the apartment is absolutely filthy! I don't know how anyone could think this is suitable for people to stay at.

I will never use booking.com again knowing they just blame the property even though booking.com will gladly take your money and do nothing to help you
