Hi! I’m not sure if this is considered an injury, but just to be safe I’ve tagged it.

The toenails on both of my pinkie toes are separated in the same area. I can lift the separated area of the nail up a little without pain. I have no idea why they split. They’ve been like this for a little under a year and I’ve never had anything like this with any of my other nails before. They hurt sometimes but I can’t think of anything that I do consistently around the times they do hurt. Has anyone else had this happen?

I’ve attached photos, it’s harder to tell where the separation is for one of the nails so I circled the area.
