We live in a apartment complex in WeHo with a small central courtyard. Two stories tall. No onsite management.
In truth, I love not having an onsite manager. As long as folks behave like adults? A++
A ground floor apartment has put patio furniture + an outdoor rug in front of their apartment. They use it all day long. For wfh zoom meetings on a laptop, for sitting outside and scrolling on their phone + Vaping, and it just makes it so anyone traversing the small courtyard is essentially an interloper walking through their unofficial living room space. It’s extremely uncomfortable.
- I know smoking is forbidden in WeHo. What about vaping?
- Is it OK to commandeer common areas as described? Or am I being too picky?
Going from outside to inside requires social interaction where I am “crossing“ their space. It’s not really their space, is it?
I would love a neutral situation. It’s not possible in a small courtyard.
Please advise!
