I've been a fan of shoegaze for years now and I think the band's lyrics on so many songs are so poetic and beautiful, and probably my favorite too. For me, their lyrics are both abstract, yet really grounded which sound exactly like how I would describe their music. And the best part is that I really feel like I understand what they mean through them, even if they're usually metaphorical. Even in the brit pop side of their discography they still have consistent lyrics, although the melodies are just slightly different.

I have so many examples of good lyrics but the ones that come to my mind are from Lovelife (Split), Monochrome, I have the Moon and Out Of Control.

I want to know which song you consider the loudest. It could be from personal experience but I'm also looking for objective answers such as in terms of db 🤔 I don't know if it's been asked already.

Anyway, my first guesses are Only Shallow, feed me with your kiss, and Who Sees You.
