Ticket Name Correction Issue
Aer Lingus via Chase Points Help!
I have a ticket I booked using Chase Points but because we have a kid under two with their own seat, we had to call and have an agent do the booking. Well, this flight is FRIDAY (4 days from now). I noticed a week ago my middle name was spelled wrong and called Chase to correct it since their agent had to manually do the booking last December. They created a new reservation but they cannot “reissue” the ticket saying Aer Lingus has to but Aer Lingus is saying Chase has to. I’ve been calling and dealing with this daily for HOURS. Has this happened to anyone else before? They keep saying they’ve escalated the issue but no one seems to know what the heck to do to get this corrected and so many agents promise to call me back but never do.
Any tips or advice? I’m freaking out I will need to buy a whole new ticket (now $1599) and Chase is saying they won’t get me a new ticket without losing all the points I used to buy it plus me having to pay for the new ticket myself. Help!!!!
