I got the gpu for free as a PC repair shop threw it away for overheating. new thermal pads cost almost as much as it was worth.
it's powered by USB c and in made an adjustable pwm signal from a 555 timer to make the fans turn slowly.
no idea what it is, someone might find it interesting
I wanted to see if my sony multiscan 20sf is could do 1280x960 at 85hz, which would be 85.9khz and it's only rated for 85khz.
I know this monitor works as I have used it before, but not with this many vga cables and gender changers. you can see the cable in my desk.
the monitor straight up refused to display at 640x480 at 120hz or 1280x960 at 85hz. it only displayed at 640x480 at 70hz.
I have also shared my timing settings.
I just thought this was an interesting phenomenon and wanted to share. I'm just going to have to move the whole monitor closer to my pc to get my testing done.
