Had a hair transplant a few years ago (hairline), now noticing crown thinning — what should I do?

I had a hair transplant in 2023 (~4,000 grafts) at the hairline, and that part has held up well so far.

But recently I’ve noticed thinning at the crown. It’s become pretty obvious compared to the rest of my hair, and it’s getting harder to cover up with styling. Feels like I need to do something about it now.

I’ve been using minoxidil. I was also on finasteride for about a year after my transplant. I didn’t notice any side effects, but I didn’t continue after I finished the prescription—mostly because I kept reading about potential side effects, and honestly I wasn’t sure how much fin/min were actually helping vs. just the transplant doing its job.

Now I’m wondering what the best next step is:

Go back on finasteride?

Stick with minoxidil and monitor?

Start thinking about a second transplant down the line?

Would appreciate any advice or hearing from people who’ve dealt with similar progression. Thanks.
