Looking for Android beta testers for an experimental lo-fi pixel camera app

Hey everyone,

I’m developing an Android camera app and I’m looking for a few people to test it before launch.

The app is built around a monochrome lo-fi look, with pixel-based image processing, dithering, grain, custom presets, and random camera presets. It has a strong retro influence, but the idea is not just to imitate an old device. I’m trying to make it useful as a creative photo tool with a very specific visual language.

Even if you’re not usually into pixel art or Game Boy-style cameras, I think it could still be interesting from a mobile photography point of view. The app gives you a different way to frame, simplify, and stylize images directly while shooting, with limitations that can push the photo in a more graphic and experimental direction.

One feature I’ve spent a lot of time on is the edit mode. When you add text, draw, or place elements over a photo, they are processed through the same visual style as the shot itself, so they feel integrated into the image instead of looking pasted on top.

The app is currently in closed beta on Google Play.

If you’re interested in trying a more experimental retro camera app, leave a comment or send me a DM and I’ll share the Play Store link.

Honest feedback would be very useful.

Hey everyone,

I’m working on an Android camera app and I’m looking for a few beta testers before launch.

It’s a monochrome lo-fi pixel camera, heavily inspired by the Game Boy Camera look: dithering, grain, custom presets, pixel-based processing, and a Pixel Dice button that generates random camera settings.

One thing I’ve spent a lot of time on is the edit mode. If you add text, draw, or place elements over a photo, they get processed with the same visual style as the original shot, so they feel like part of the image instead of something pasted on top.

The app is currently in closed beta on Google Play.

If you’re into retro cameras, pixel art, or Game Boy-style visuals, leave a comment or send me a DM and I’ll share the Play Store link

Any honest feedback would help a lot.

Hey everyone I've been building an Android camera app and I'm looking for beta testers before launch. It's a monochrome lo-fi pixel aesthetic. Think Game Boy Camera vibes, but on your phone. Pixel-based image processing, dithering controls, grain, custom presets, and a **Pixel Dice** that randomizes the look for you. The part I'm most proud of is **Edit Mode**. When you add text or draw on a photo, everything gets processed through the same retro style as the shot. Nothing looks pasted on. It all becomes part of the image. Currently in closed beta on Google Play. If this aesthetic is your thing, drop a comment or DM me for the link. Honest feedback is very welcome. di meno
