Nikon Coolpix S700 lens connectivity issue to LCD screen

Hi all, recently picked up this little camera from a yard sale for $10. I’ve been shooting on point to shoots and mirrorless cameras for a while but not sure of what this could be. Goes away when out of dark/super light environments and is visible on photos, which makes me believe it’s not the LCD screen.

I’ll still keep shooting with it regardless of the diagnosis, since I’ve never owned a Nikon before and I love the look of the photos they yield. I’m just curious what this could be + a potential fix for it- I’d assume this happens to other cameras too I’ve just never encountered it haha

update: did some more digging after making this post and I’m pretty sure it’s a sensor issue but not too hardware adept so I’m going to ask a friend to work on it a bit I think. I’ll probably throw some money at this since I think old hardware like this should be salvaged if possible even if it doesn’t really make sense economically.

my mild grievance with saikat’s campaign

This is not a critique of him as a candidate or his political views. I basically walk everywhere in San Francisco. I walk to a lot of the errands I have to run or I’ll take Muni. Almost every single time I’ve been out these past two months, I’ve come across Saikat posters on the ground and, on the occasion, Muni buses. Info sheets about what he stands for, pictures of his face alongside his name, etc. they are just scattered everywhere across the city streets. I came back to my apartment building one night and one of his posters was jammed into my door, another one on the floor outside my neighbors, two on the floor of my lobby.

There is so much trash that this campaign has generated in the form of campaign materials that is actively contributing to the poor public reputation that San Francisco has with cleanliness. I love this city, which is why I walk around a lot to see and experience as much of it as possible. I understand running a political campaign is very difficult, but I think it’s important that due diligence is done to ensure that you are not making the city worse while promising to make it better.

Hi all!

I finished my first ever needlepoint and I am super proud! I want to frame it, but I’m unsure of how to go about it properly. I went to my local needlepoint store and they said I should make a square border out of white thread but I don’t really want to do that if I can keep the stamp outline.

Does anyone have any ideas? Ty in advance! :)
