Hey everyone,

I’m currently in Interactive Media Design (IMD) at Algonquin College and I’m planning to apply to Computer Science at Carleton University after I graduate.

I’m aiming to become a full-stack developer, and I’m trying to figure out how realistic this path is and what to expect.

I had a few questions for anyone who’s done something similar:

Has anyone gone from IMD (or a similar program) into Carleton CS?
Were you admitted directly into first year, or did you get any transfer credits?
How long did it take you to complete the degree after getting in?
What GPA did you have when applying?
Did you take any extra math or programming courses to improve your chances?

Also, if you didn’t get in on your first try, what did you do to strengthen your application?

Any advice or experiences would really help, I’m trying to plan this out properly before I graduate.
