Career advice: Worth taking a Goat Artificial Insemination course overseas?

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for some honest advice/opinions from people who may have experience in AI (artificial insemination in livestock), veterinary medicine, agriculture, or career development.

I’m from the Cayman Islands and currently work as the Manager of a Clinical Teaching Facility at a veterinary school. My background is in Animal Biology, and my role involves overseeing teaching animals, coordinating labs, operations, logistics, compliance, and supporting hands-on veterinary training for students etc etc…

At our facility, we currently have five goats (including two new babies I recently introduced to the herd a few days ago) and two horses. Because of this, I’ve been considering doing an overseas Goat AI (Artificial Insemination) course to expand my skillset and bring something valuable back to our facility.

I’m also currently pursuing a biosecurity certification because I’m trying to continuously develop professionally and build expertise in animal health and management.

Long term, I’d love to eventually start something on the side related to diagnostics/reproductive services/animal health, so I’m trying to be intentional about the skills I invest in now.

My question is: would pursuing a Goat AI course be worth it given my background and career goals? For those who have done livestock reproductive training or AI courses, was it valuable? Did it actually open opportunities or become a useful skill in practice?

Being from a small island, niche training opportunities aren’t always available here, so overseas training would be an investment.

Would genuinely appreciate honest opinions or experiences!

Anyone know the name of this movie? I SWEAR I didn’t dream it..

I’m trying to remember a movie I watched years ago and it’s driving me crazy.

From what I remember, there was a white woman trapped in some kind of underground train/subway station or tunnel system, and she was being chased by a really creepy humanoid/monster creature. The atmosphere was very dark and claustrophobic.

I vaguely remember her repeatedly going back to a small room or shelter area through a type of mirror.. where she would cough up or vomit strange stuff (possibly blood or something abnormal?).

I can’t remember if it was a horror movie or thriller, but it definitely had underground/subway survival vibes.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

It’s NOT The Descent (unless I’m remembering it very wrong lol).
